My Brother's Birthday and Mine

Me and my Birthday presents.

I was excited to get another doll! Her name is Sophie.

We picked my friends, Shayne and Linnea, up from school on the afternoon of my birthday. We had a lot of fun playing with my new doll and all of our dolls!

My birthday cake was like a candy basket. I picked carrot cake and it was yummy. I wanted a picture of my friends and I.

We were in Centerville on Zac's birthday. This was taken at Grandpa and Grandma's. Zac and Aunty Denise share the same birthday.

Anders and Clara and Joel and Denise were there to share "Cherry Berry on a Cloud" that he picked.

This was a surprise "2nd Birthday Party" for both of us. Our science teacher, Bob, brought them for us. They were "2 bite cupcakes" and sooooo good! He even brought candles:) It was a very fun birthday! ~Chauntel

My First Time At The Scrapbooking Retreat

The Scrapbooking Retreat
This is my first time at the Scrapbooking Retreat. It was a very fun. I got to sit by my friend(cousin). Her name is Tara Kulla. I ate a lot of candy. Oh, I mixed this up a little. First I got up and got ready that day. Then I ate breakfast. And we left after that. Next we went to the store to get candy. We scrapbook at the fire station. A lot of people go there.

At lunch time...we went and got Burgerville food and ate in the van. Uh-oh, here we are with more food again!

Then at about 6pm, we loaded up. What a fun, first time there! ~Alexa

My Newest Fun:)

Ok...so I suppose this is a weird thing to call fun...but it is my life:) Taking care of babies and always trying to find a few ways to save $$$ so I have it for other things:) I'd read about someone making baby food quite awhile ago and decided to give it a try. It works so good! I just use the blender and grind up a bunch of different things. It varies...this time I used one jar of canned apples, one jar of peaches, a bowl of prepared oatmeal, and a container of veggies. After blending them up, I pour them into ice cube trays and freeze them.

I pop them out on the counter and bag them up.

Ready to freeze...

....and ready to thaw out and eat:) Smiles from Jared!!!

My other REALLY fun thing is this handy-dandy ice cream maker I found at a garage sale. The canister of it is stored in the freezer when not in use. So when you're ready to use it....just get it out and pour the ice cream mixture into it. Flip the switch and 35 - 40 minutes later, add flavorings of your choice. 5 minutes later...yummy! It's kind of softer ice cream like homemade kind usually is. Sometimes we eat it right away and other times we freeze it for a little while longer to make it harder.

We've tried plain Vanilla, Strawberry, Peanut Butter- Butterfinger, and Banana-Banana Chunk. So many more things you could try. Anyways...it was a fun investment! And so glad it doesn't take all the ice and salt like the other kind of ice cream makers used to take! Makes lots of family smiles around here:)
